Need an excuse to get out of the house with the little one? Come join us at the Indian Road Cafe and learn how to "wear" your baby. When: Monday, September 13th Where: Indian Road Cafe - 600 West 218th Street (4 blocks west of Broadway) Time: 11:00am. Cost: $25. Babwearing is a great way to soothe a newborn. It's a great way to connect with your baby along with other numerous benefits to both you and your baby. Receive a baby carrier as a gift and don't know how to use it? Love the idea of snuggling with your baby as you trek around town but don't know how? (Babywearing is lot easier than carrying in your arms!) You've seen those parents with their babies strapped to their chests and wonder how they do it? How nice it would be to tilt your head down and kiss your baby all the time. You've seen dads around town hunched over the strollers that are too short for them. Then you see another dad wearing his baby smiling all the while. Guess who's having more fun? What is the difference between a sling, pouch, wrap, mei tai, Bjorn, etc? Come have lunch and have all your questions answered by Caprice. Caprice Corona is often referred to as the “Babywearing Queen of Inwood”. She has “worn” both her children since birth and teaches parents how easy it is for them to do so too. Remember Imelda Marcos and her shoes? Well, that just very well may be Caprice and her baby carriers. She has yet to meet a carrier she couldn’t tackle and raves about her favorites. We are thrilled to have her show us the ins and outs of babywearing and all that it offers! Bring any carrier you may have and learn how to use it. Moms, dads, pregnant, TTCing, adoptive parents, everyone is welcome. No more dragging that bulky stroller up and down the subway stairs! See you there!
